DEATH VALLEY.
6.15 we thundered down Las Vegas main strip on our way out of town and it was pretty quiet.
It was good to have a forced rest period after such a lot of motorcycling and sensory overload.
A chance for Gerry to snap some more last photos of sin city. Good Riddance.
Classy eh?
We rode alone for the first part as the others roared off ahead of us.
The first town we met required Gas. The gauge was declining at an alarming rate due to high speeds and steep incline.
Desert, desert, desert all around us. 100 degrees and it was only 7am. Mark was loving it.
Soon we where in the National Park known as Death Valley. It descends down to be the lowest road in America. At one stage we saw a sign declaring 189 feet below sea level.
Its dry and hot but surprisingly scenic. Las Vegas had been having record heat while we where there so we had acclimatised more so then otherwise to extreme heat.
Photos don't capture heat nor do they capture the scenery and colour to be experienced.. It was hot but not too bad, our temp gauge reading 120 at its hottest. It would get a little hotter still after we passed through but we left early for comforts sake.

Mark, you'll be passing through desert heat. "And loving it Chief!"
Sand dunes.
You need to cover your body to keep cool.
Team member "Doc" wishing he was younger.
Been there, got the T Shirt
Tomorrow is our last day as a full group. Gulp. We head back to San Fransisco and most others to L.A. after tomorrows ride which takes us into Yosemite National Park.
